Education, qualifications & experience
I am a qualified Naturopath, Nutritional Therapist and Herbalist who trained at the College of Naturopathic Medicine in London for 5 years. Originally from Russia, I constantly refer to my knowledge of Russian traditional and folk medicine. In Russia as in some other European countries natural medicine and home-made remedies are not viewed as alternative but rather integrated alongside the orthodox medical approach.
As a Naturopath and Nutritional Therapist, I am passionate about educating others how to make healthy lifestyle choices, encouraging them to enjoy their food while helping to prevent nutritional imbalances which may lead to escalating health problems. I believe in being proactive in preventing such problems before they turn into illnesses. I focus on the person as a whole, taking account of not just physical but also mental and emotional well-being.
I am trained in three systems of Herbal Medicine (Western Herbalism, Ayurvedic and TCM Herbs), each of these traditions offering their unique approaches to restoring the health balance. I use herbs and medicinal plants from three continents and relish the challenge of addressing chronic long-term conditions.
I have been practicing in Hampstead privately since 2008.
I am registered with the CNHC, a Government body established in 2008 to ensure that the education and training of all complimentary healthcare practitioners fully meets the new strict standards of practice. The Department of Health stated in 2009 that CNHC is the only voluntary regulated body for complimentary healthcare which has official Government backing. No other organisation has the same stringent criteria or focus on safety and quality.
I am a member of the British Association for Applied Nutrition & Nutritional Therapy which ensures that practitioners are trained to the highest professional standards in Nutritional therapy and are bound by the Association’s Code of Conduct and Ethics.
I am accredited with the NTC which is responsible for promoting and facilitating legal, safe and effective practice with regard to education, training and professional development for Nutritional Therapists.
As a member of the AMH, I practice a form of Natural Healing which includes Herbal Medicine and a blend of Naturopathic techniques such as detoxification, nutrition, hydrotherapy, fasting and other ways to assist the patient back to health. I work to a strict Code of Conduct and Ethics. I regularly attend yearly Continuing Professional Development courses to update and enhance my practice skills.
I am a member of the Association of Naturopathic Practitioners which educates about and supports the practice of Naturopathy, an eclectic system of healthcare that promotes the body's self-healing mechanisms and advocates healthy living. ANP represents the future of the profession, engaging with matters of government legislation and promoting the principles of Naturopathic Medicine.
